Applies to: Trail Calc (trailcalc.akatrailworks.com) / Effective: November 3, 2026
1. Where your data is stored
Everything you enter in Trail Calc, such as sections, food, calories, water, body weight and hiking hours, is stored only in your browser on your own device (localStorage). It is never sent to servers run by Aka Trail Works. If you clear your browser data or open the app on another device, your data will not carry over. To move to another device, use "Export backup" and "Import backup" in Settings.
2. Exported files
Files you create with "Export backup" or "Export CSV for TabiScale" are saved only on your device and are not sent to us. Please keep and share them at your own discretion.
3. Information we collect
We do not collect personal information such as your name or email address. We do not use analytics tools or advertising.
4. Third-party services
- Cloudflare: delivers this site. To do so, connection data such as your IP address is processed by Cloudflare.
- Google Fonts: used to display text. When the fonts load, data such as your IP address is sent to Google.
If you open a source link in the app (the sources for the calorie and water estimates), the linked site's own policy applies.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as features are added. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
